Life in the USFun at the Water Park.

Fun at the Water Park.

Her new blue swim-suit lay crumpled, unused on the shelf for a long time. Medha donned it the first thing in the morning, excited about our trip to the Breaker’s Water Park. She was all set to go “chwimming”!( swimming, if it didn’t strike you)

As soon as she spotted the sparkling waters of the kids’ pool she jumped right into it. When I wasn’t looking she even tried to wiggle herself out of her costume for reasons unknown.

Medha had a wild time splashing about and sliding right into the pool. There was nothing more she wanted to do than to ride the waves in the “Wave Pool” (where we simply sat as artificial waves lapped against us). Prasad and I took turns going down the long, curvy Bonzai Pipeline Ride. After my experience inside the green darkness, half-losing the mat I was seated on and being tossed into a pool in the end, I decided I’d rather spend my time in the wave pool with Medha.

A wild time at Breaker’s!

“Come on, Let’s go Chwimming!”, she cried, dragging us back to the water games after a brief break munching Mango slices and drinking Soda. We were already baked in the sun. Before we could be charred we dragged her screaming and kicking back to the car.  The promise of a return was the only thing that could console her.

Even though we were too exhausted to function normally for the rest of that day or the next few days, we were thrilled to have made her happy. To this day she hasn’t stopped talking about the day she went-you guessed it- chwimming!
